About
Hello! I'm Rich. I'm a Staff Software Engineer on a Cloud Infrastructure team by day, and I like making apps in my spare time for things that interest me or that I feel may solve a problem. This site is a home to them.
These are hobby projects, so some are more polished than others. A few started as weekend experiments that took on a life of their own; others were built to scratch a very specific itch.
For a long time I had the vague goal of being able to take an app idea all the way from design to code to build to release. Actually doing it, end-to-end, turned out to be quite rewarding. I enjoy seeing people download and use something I made!
Outside of these apps, I've spent over 20 years working across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, and IT/infrastructure management at both large enterprises and startups.
Why I Build Apps This Way
When I download an app, I like it to just work without asking me to sign up, subscribe, or agree to be tracked. I try to hold my own apps to that same standard.
- No tracking or analytics. Your data stays on your device.
- No dark patterns. No nagging popups, no guilt-trips to upgrade.
- Free or pay once. I don't like subscriptions, so I don't put them in my apps.
